Terms and conditions

The rules that apply when you use Bref, for free or with a subscription.

Updated 30 September 2026

1. Purpose

These terms govern the use of Bref, a short link, QR code and analytics service published by TIPIT SRL (“Bref”, “we”), and the purchase of its subscriptions. By creating an account or using the service, you accept them.

2. Account and organisations

  • An account is required to use the dashboard. You are responsible for keeping your access confidential and for what is done with your account.
  • Links, analytics and the subscription belong to an organisation. Its owner manages members, their roles and the subscription.
  • If you use Bref on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.

3. Plans and prices

  • Bref offers a Free plan and paid subscriptions (Pro and Business), monthly or yearly, whose content and limits are described on the Pricing page.
  • Prices are in euros, including 21% Belgian VAT.
  • Subscriptions are paid in advance by card, through the Leaf platform's payment provider. They renew automatically at the end of each period until stopped.
  • An invoice in your name, with your VAT number, is sent on request to contact@bref.timour.me.
  • Our prices may change. A change only applies to an ongoing subscription at its next renewal, and is announced by email at least 30 days beforehand.

4. Changing plan and cancelling

  • You can change plan or stop your subscription at any time from the Billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid; that period is not refunded, except under the right of withdrawal (section 5) or where the law provides otherwise.
  • When the subscription ends, the organisation returns to the Free plan after a 3-day grace period. Existing links keep redirecting; Free plan limits apply to new links, tracked clicks and viewable history.

5. Right of withdrawal (consumers)

If you act as a consumer, you have 14 days from subscribing to withdraw, without giving a reason, by writing to contact@bref.timour.me.

Since the paid plan's benefits start as soon as you subscribe, you expressly request that the service begins during that period. If you withdraw, we refund the price paid, minus an amount proportional to the time already elapsed, within 14 days of your request.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use Bref to:

  • redirect to phishing, malware or unwanted software, or to any site that deceives its visitors;
  • send spam or hide the origin of unsolicited messages;
  • lead to unlawful content: infringement of others' rights, counterfeiting, child sexual abuse material, hateful content or content inciting violence, illegal gambling or sales;
  • get around the service's limits or disrupt it (bots, excessive load, intrusion attempts).

Bref checks destinations against Google Web Risk and refuses those flagged as dangerous. We may disable, at any time and without notice, any link or organisation that breaks these rules or is reported to us. In case of serious breach, the account may be closed without refund.

7. Availability

We do our best to keep Bref available at all times and to keep your links redirecting, even beyond your plan's limits. The service may however be interrupted for maintenance or due to incidents beyond our control: no availability level is guaranteed.

8. Your content and data

  • You remain the owner of the content you entrust to Bref (destinations, titles, images, logos) and grant us the right to host and display it to provide the service.
  • You can export your links and analytics as CSV at any time.
  • For the analytics of your links' visitors, TIPIT SRL acts as a processor for your organisation: the data processing agreement is part of these terms. How we handle your account data is described in the privacy policy.

9. Liability

  • You alone are responsible for the destinations of your links and for how you use the service.
  • Towards a business customer, our total liability is limited to the amounts paid for the service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to it, and excludes indirect damages (loss of revenue, data or customers).
  • Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud or gross negligence, or towards a consumer beyond what the law allows.

10. Closing your account

You can delete your organisation from its settings, or ask us to delete your account. The organisation's links and analytics are then erased and its short links stop working.

11. Changes

We may change these terms. Any significant change is announced by email at least 30 days before it takes effect; if you do not accept it, you can stop your subscription before that date.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Belgian law. Please write to us first: most issues are settled with a simple exchange.

Between businesses, the courts of the judicial district of Namur have exclusive jurisdiction. A consumer may also turn to the Consumer Mediation Service and keeps the benefit of the protective rules of their country of residence.
