A ticket shop that opens right on time

The posters have been printed for weeks, sales open on 1 March at 10 am. With a start date, the link shows a countdown and then opens by itself.

Une horloge au-dessus d'un compte à rebours 00:00:04:59, sur fond violet

A festival opens its ticket sales on 1 March at 10 am sharp. For three weeks, the QR code has been on the posters, the link in the bio and in the newsletter. What do people who click early see? And after sales close?

Before opening: a countdown

Give the link a start date. Before that date, visitors see a clean page with the opening date and a countdown in days, hours, minutes and seconds. At zero, the page reloads by itself: people waiting in front of the screen land straight on the ticket shop.

Social network bots receive the preview you chose (title, description, image), without the destination: your LinkedIn post looks good, but nobody finds the ticket shop's address early.

During the sale

The link redirects normally. If the ticket shop is overloaded, you can switch the destination to a waiting page in seconds, then switch it back.

After closing: a page, or another address

Add an end date. After it, two options:

  • a "this link has expired" page, with the date;
  • or an address after expiry: the programme, the waiting list, or next year's edition.

Posters still up around town keep doing something useful.

Reserving the pre-sale

For a members-only pre-sale, create a second link protected by a password, starting the day before. Send it with the password by email: the public sees only the countdown, members get in a day early.

On the day

Analytics show visits hour by hour over the last 24 hours, the share of scans (the posters) and clicks (social, newsletter). You know right away which channel filled the venue.

Times are shown in the Brussels time zone on interstitial pages, and in your browser's time zone in the dashboard.
